When Unique Tooling Pty Ltd, a leader in precision manufacturing, sought to strengthen production resilience and modernise its operations, KEVOS® was engaged to deliver two transformative engineering initiatives — each designed to reduce dependency, sharpen efficiency, and unlock long-term operational autonomy.

**The Challenge.** Unique Tooling faced two pressing demands: regaining control over critical tooling components historically reliant on external suppliers, and replacing manual handling in their blow moulding operation with a hygienic, food-grade automated solution.

**The Approach.** Our team deployed high-precision 3D scanning (photo to CAD) digitally reconstruct complex tool geometries, producing fully parametric CAD models, production-ready drawings, and quality-assured documentation. In parallel, we engineered a complete pick-and-place automation concept — analysing workflow, regulatory compliance, and machine integration to design a robotic system tailored for contamination-free, repeatable handling.

**The Solution.** Through close collaboration with Unique Tooling's engineering leadership, we delivered two cohesive packages: a reverse-engineering toolkit enabling immediate in-house production, and a food-grade automation design ready for seamless deployment alongside existing blow moulding infrastructure.

**The Impact.** The outcomes redefined Unique Tooling's manufacturing capability — accelerating turnaround times, lowering production costs, eliminating supplier bottlenecks, and elevating output quality to meet stringent food-safety standards. More than a technical delivery, this engagement reinforced KEVOS®'s position as a trusted engineering partner to Australian manufacturers pursuing innovation and self-sufficiency.
